1. 8. Skógar, Dyrhólaey

Day 6: Sun

The trek from Skógar to Thórsmörk begins at Skógafoss and continues in the strong wind along deep canyons. We finished it half-way to Thórsmörk at a bridge where we had a lunch.

The Dyrhólaey peninsula hosts a lighthouse on a high cliff. There is black sandy beach on one side, pebble beach on the other, and a glacier at the back.

The day ends in the first recommended place by the Dane - a camp at the end of the long deep valey. The road to it is long and bumpy.
