Day 7: Sun

The trek to the Mýrdalsjökul glacier runs along deep valleys with bizarre rock formations. It ends at a huge glacier tongue.

We went to national park Skaftafell through endless plains and a small vilage Kirkjubaejarklaustur with hexagonal basalt cobblestones.

There is projection of the last glacial flood (1996) in the camp (750 + 200 ISK) reception that destroyed part of the Ringroad with a bridge.
