Day 9: Clouds, Rain

Long trip from the south to the north runs along the coastline. There is a new aluminium works near Reydarfjördur which will process bauxite from Australia. They have built a whole new power station for it.

We visited the original icelandic forest at the shore of Lagarfljót lake. And then the Hengifoss waterfall (180m) on the other side of the lake.

The weather is again bad in the evening. We ended in a camp in Jökulsárgljúfur national park after 50km of bumpy road while raining (750 + 200 ISK).
