6. 8. Leirhnjúkur, Krafla, Hverarönd, Hverfjall

Day 11: Clouds

Our first steps lead to a kiosk with local special bread - hverabraud. It's suprisingly good.

We went to view geothermal power plant at Krafla, Víti crater, and the youngest lava field Leirhnjúkur where we did a small walk.

Then back closer to the lake to Hverarönd with mud pots. Next is Grótagjá cave which contains a pool with hot water. But it is not interesting enough to take a picture.

We also managed to visit the Hverfjall volcano with many stone signs inside it before we spent the whole evening in the Mývatn nature baths. That was really cool.
